Office of Academic Affairs aims at providing the best service to students and instructors. It is responsible for executing education ordinance and the University's policies, support teaching, recruitment and student learning related issues, including registration, credits and credentials issuing, record keeping, grade documentation, scheduling courses, classroom arrangement, printing materials for lessons, course selection, student recruitment,administrating mid-terms / finals / make-up exams, enhancing teacher’s professional development, and etc. The service range includes the various colleges,departments, the faculty and student body under the goal of enhancing education efficacy and learning accomplishment. The Office of Academic Affairs is instituted with one academic dean overseeing the entire University's administration and policymaking with the aid of one associate dean and staff. Directly under the Dean of Academic Affairs, there are a secretary and Registrar Office, Curriculum Office, Admission Office and Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Center for General Education (GE) with a director each for promoting the individual functions. Now, the university has grown into nine Colleges (Arts, Science, Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Fine Arts & Creative Design,International and Law) and a combined student body of over 17,000 undergraduates and graduates. The University offers 34 undergraduate majors, 35 master degree programs, and 14 doctoral programs. Close to 550 teachers and 420 staff members make up the personnel of this comprehensive university. |
